Description
Parsonage Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble with an asbestos sheet roof and features two brick ridge stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and is two storeys high, comprising three bays. On the first floor, there are two-light stone mullioned windows, each light containing a sash window with glazing bars. To the left of the ground floor, there is a similar opening, while the centre of the ground floor has paired sash windows with glazing bars and a wooden dividing mullion. To the right of the ground floor, there is a casement window with glazing bars beneath an elongated wooden lintel. The door opening is nearly central and features a plank door with a 20th-century gabled wooden porch that has an asbestos sheet roof. There is also a further door opening between the first and second bays that has been blocked with brick. To the right, there is a low single-storey rendered wing with an asbestos sheet roof and three plank doors. To the left, there is a single-storey pent-roofed outshut with a double Roman tile roof.
