Description

Ford House is a 17th-century farmhouse that was formerly known as Ford Farm House. It is constructed from colourwashed stone rubble, with some parts rendered, and features a thatched roof with both hipped and gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a long five-window range arranged in a slightly angular plan. The windows are modern casements with leaded panes. There is a central doorway that includes a modern panelled door and a thatched porch. The farmhouse has brick chimney stacks at each end. Inside, there is an open fireplace at the west end, which has a massive chamfered bressumer and stone jambs, along with chamfered ceiling beams.
