Description

South Mill is an 18th-century watermill and millhouse located in Stockland Boniford. It is constructed from stone rubble with a slate roof and stone coping to the gable ends. The building is two storeys high and has a three or four window front. It features two and three-light casement windows with glazing bars, and a plank door set within a stone porch with a slate roof on the right-hand side. A rebuilt brick chimney stack is located at the east end. The mill itself is positioned at the left or west end, with a wide entrance at the front and an overshot wheel at the rear, north side, containing the original mill machinery.
