Description

This is a late 18th-century cottage located in Stockland Broadhayes. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and has a thatched hipped roof. The south front has two bays and features sash windows with glazing bars; the ground floor window on the right is a later casement. Round arched doorways with semi-circular fanlights and panelled doors are present on the east and west sides, with a thatched porch on the west side. A tall stair window is situated at the rear, flanked by two symmetrical wings built of stone rubble and topped with thatched hipped roofs; one wing was originally used as stables. Red brick chimney stacks are positioned at the centre of the building and over the wings.
