Description

Bakers, Cobblers, and Moor Park Cottage are a row of three cottages, likely built in the 18th century, with some modernisation from the 20th century. They are constructed of plastered cob on stone rubble footings, with stone rubble or cob stacks topped with 20th-century brick, and feature a thatched roof. The cottages face south-south-east, with Cobblers at the left (west) end having a two-room plan, while Bakers in the middle and Moor Park Cottage at the right end both have one-room plans. There are end stacks and axial stacks in the party walls, and the buildings are two storeys high with secondary outshots at the rear.

The exterior presents an irregular six-window front, primarily featuring 20th-century casements without glazing bars. However, Bakers includes a couple of 18th-century flat-faced mullion windows with rectangular panes of leaded glass and old casement catches. The front doorway of Cobblers has a 20th-century plank door beneath a contemporary thatched hood. Bakers and Moor Park Cottage have 20th-century doors, with Moor Park Cottage's door being glazed. The roof is continuous across all three cottages, steeply hipped to the left and gable-ended to the right. The interiors have not been inspected but are said to feature plain yet sturdy carpentry details.
