SALCOMBE REGIS 1. 1633 Stone near Thorn Tree SY 18 NW 14/171 12.10.51. II 2. Situated at north end of Salcombe Regis village on site of former pound. Granite stone erected 1939 to commemorate planting of new Thorn Tree. Thorn has been maintained here as boundary mark since Saxon times.
