Description

The Thorn chest tomb, located approximately 5 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, dates from the 18th century and is constructed from ironstone. It features plain sides and a moulded ledger slab. The inscription is partially legible and reads: "In memory of Samuel Thorn who died 176? ....".
