Description

This building, known as The Children's Society and Shoe Mart, is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with brick stacks at both ends and along the ridge. The structure stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground floor has two 20th-century shop fronts. On the first floor, there are wide sashes with four panes each, adorned with keystoned voussoirs, while the second floor has two similar windows. The building is topped with dentilled eaves. Inside, there is a straight flight staircase with a quarter turn. This property is included for its group value and is situated on a curving terrace site.
