Description
The Flying Horse Inn is a 17th-century inn with later alterations. It is likely cruck framed, featuring a stucco front and brick at the rear, topped with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a five-window range. To the left, there is a six-panelled door with an overlight and rusticated stone surrounds, flanked by two sash windows. To the right, a carriage arch also has rusticated stone surrounds. The first floor features five-pane wide sashes with stone voussoirs and sills. There are five flat-roofed dormers in the roof. The interior is reputed to have an upper cruck roof construction, although it has been altered and extended in the 20th century.
