The Thorn chest tomb, located approximately 4 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Michael, is a Grade II listed structure dated 1702 in memory of John Thorn. It is made of Beerstone ashlar and features a chest tomb design with a very thick soffit-moulded flat lid. Each long side of the tomb has a central rectangular panel flanked by pilasters, which are intricately carved with flowers and have cross hatching behind the stems.
