Description

This boundary stone, dating from the late 19th century, is located on the south side of Gargrave Road in Stirton with Thorlby. Made of painted millstone grit, it stands approximately 30 centimeters high and features a basket arched top. The stone has a vertical inscription that is divided by a scored line, reading: "ES HD STIRTON WITH THORLBY / SKIPTON LOCAL BOARD."
