Description

Livonia is a villa built around 1830, set back from Sidford Road in a garden. The building is two storeys high and has a rough cast exterior that has been renovated. It features a low pitch hipped slate roof with projecting boxed eaves. The entrance front faces south at a right angle to the road and includes two flat-roofed dormers.

On the first floor, there are five windows with transomed camber-headed casements that have reeded mullions and leaded top lights. The ground floor has three taller two-light casements, which have later glazing, although one retains marginal lights. The main entrance is asymmetrically placed and features a porch with clustered iron shafts and a shallow entablature. The glazed door has two flush panels and a rectangular fanlight.

At the end of the front nearest the road, there is a rectangular glazed bay that was likely added later. The side has French windows, and the front features three lights, all with marginal glazing. The garden front to the east has four dormers that have been renovated. The first floor includes four casements similar to those on the entrance front, along with four later French windows. One end of the villa has an enclosed porch with Gothic marginal glazing on the lights and door.
