Description

SIDFORD ROAD 1. 1633 (East Side) Livonia SY 1288 7/282 II 2. Circa 1830 villa set back from road, in garden. 2 storeys rough cast, renovated. Low pitch hipped slate roof, projecting boxed eaves. Entrance front facing south at right angles to road, has 2 flat roofed dormers. 5 windows 1st floor: transomed camber headed casements with reeded mullions, leaded top lights. Ground floor has 3 taller 2-light casements, later glazing but one with marginal lights. The main entrance is asymmetrically placed, porch with clustered iron shafts and shallow entablature. Glazed door retains 2 flush panels and rectangular fanlight. At the end of front nearest road, is a probably later rectangular glazed bay. French windows to side and 3 lights to front, all with marginal glazing. The garden front to east 4 dormers, renovated. Four 1st floor casements similar to those on entrance front. 4 later French windows. One end has enclosed porch with Gothic marginal glazing to lights and door.
