Description

This is an early 19th-century building on the south side of High Street. It comprises numbers 196 to 200, and is part of a group that includes numbers 128 to 138 (even), 142 to 184 (even), and 188 to 200 (even). The building is three storeys high with an attic, notable for its pointed windows in the gable ends. It has three sash windows on the upper floors, featuring glazing bars. The exterior is stuccoed and painted. Tall doorcases are present, each topped with a lozenged fanlight, with one additional fanlight on the east-facing return.
