Description

The Volunteer Inn is a 17th or 18th-century public house. It is a two-storey, three-window building with a thatched roof and a plastered front. The windows are wooden casements with glazing bars. A splayed bay window extends across the ground floor on the left-hand side, and a wing projects at right angles to the rear. Nos. 177 to 195 (odd) form a group.
