Description

Barrow Cottage is a house that was originally two cottages, dating from the late 17th century and 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and timber-frame, topped with a stone slate mansard roof that is half-hipped to the east. The building features a ridge stack and a west end stack, along with one dormer window on the left side. Each floor has two pairs of 20th-century casement windows, and there is a door to the right of each ground floor window. There are single-storey additions at both ends of the cottage, and the east end wall is timber-framed with brick panels.
