Description

The Thatched Cottage is a house that was originally two cottages, dating from the 17th century. It was remodeled and likely extended to the left in the early to mid-18th century. The building is constructed of flint rubble with brick dressings and features a gabled thatch roof with brick end stacks. It has a plan form that is not clearly defined. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has a four-window range. There are segmental brick arches over a 20th-century door and 20th-century casements, including a blocked door, as well as 20th-century half-dormer casements. The rear right and right side wall show square timber framing. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
