Description

Hedgeen is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located on the east side of Britwell Turner's Green Lane. It is constructed of colourwashed chalk and uncoursed rubble with brick dressings, topped by a half-hipped thatch roof. The building features a brick external end stack that includes a projection for a bread oven. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with a two-window range. A 19th-century plank door is set in a heavy frame, and there are two-light leaded casements. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have old beams.
