Description

The Old Queen is a 17th-century cottage located on the west side of Britwell Hill. It features square timber framing with brick and herringbone brick infill, topped by a gabled roof made of old tiles. The cottage has a brick external stack on the right side and an 18th-century stack on the left. It has a one-unit plan, is two storeys high, and consists of a one-bay range. The late 19th-century windows are three-light casements, and there is a plank door in the left side wall. Inside, you can find chamfered beams and a chamfered bressumer above the open fireplace. The roof has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
