Description

The Old Cottage is a house, originally two cottages, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a plain tile roof, a coped north gable, and brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high with a two-window front, initially arranged as two single-fronted cottages, each with a door leading directly outward; the south door has been blocked. It features 2-light stone-mullioned casement windows with ovolo moulding and leaded panes. A 20th-century porch has been added, along with a small gabled brick addition to the north-east corner. The north gable end includes an oval window.
