Description

Two cottages stand at 15 and 16 The Butts, dating from the mid-19th century. They are built of English-bond brick with freestone dressings, featuring a continuous slate roof topped by a central ridge stack. The cottages have double-depth plans. The exterior presents a two-story, two-window range for each cottage. Windows are 8/8-pane sashes, with those in No. 15 having horns. Architectural details include plain freestone architraves, a platband, and a plinth. Mid-20th century porches have been added. The interior has not been inspected.
