Description

This is an early to mid-18th century house in Chippenham. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with a double-Roman tile roof, stone coping, and a stack with a brick shaft on the right. The house has a double-depth plan.

The exterior is two storeys with an attic, featuring a single-window range. Architectural details include a cornice, parapet, string course, and plinth. The windows are C19 horned 6/6-pane sashes with moulded architraves. A C19 door is located in the left return.

The interior has not been inspected.

Historically, the house was originally a three-window range, but the two left-hand ranges were demolished in the mid-19th century to make way for a chapel (later Spinkes Printing Works) built to the rear.
