Description

Blueitts, located at 52 Church Walk, is a 17th-century building with a timber frame that underwent alterations in the 18th century and significant changes to its front windows in the early 20th century. The structure has two storeys, featuring rough cast on the upper level and a brick ground floor at the rear, with the timber frame visible. It is designed in an L shape, with a projecting gabled bay at the front and an entrance wing set back to the left. The roof is stone tiled on the south side and rear, while the north slope and entrance wing have pantiles.

A tall, full-height red brick chimney with offsets, partly refaced in Bath stone, is situated on the south front at the angle between the gabled bay and the main block. The front gabled bay includes a three-light leaded casement window from the early 20th century on the first floor, and a similar window in a rectangular bay on the ground floor, which has a hipped stone tile roof.

In the north entrance wing, there is one window on the first floor that breaks through the eaves, featuring a moulded flush frame and a four-pane wide sash. The ground floor has a tripartite 19th-century sash window. The original oak door remains, divided into three panels by battens, with a narrow rectangular fanlight above.

On the south side elevation, there are two small two-light 19th-century casement windows in moulded flush frames on the first floor, along with a conservatory and a French window on the ground floor. The rear elevation features a three-light casement dormer with a hipped stone tile roof and cheeks, two windows on the first floor, and three on the ground floor, all of which are two-light 19th-century casements, with one having been modernised.
