Description
The Old Farm House is a 17th century or earlier building located on Well House Road in Beech. It is two storeys plus an attic, constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, topped with an old tile roof.
On the south facade, the ground floor features two mullioned and transomed leaded casement windows, a central ledged door with a modern hood, and one three-light 18th century casement window. The first floor has an 18th century casement window, a central mullioned and transomed window, and a four-light mullioned casement. There is also a tile-hung lean-to extension on the right, which contains a single casement window.
The west facade is three bays wide, with the left bay made of brick and the two right bays clad in tile at the first floor level. The ground floor includes a three-light window, a central ledged door within a frame, and a four-light window. The first floor has one two-light window and two single-light windows, all of which are leaded casements. A hipped dormer window is present in the roof.
Inside, the house features early open brick fireplaces and extensive panelling.
