Description
Howard's Farm House is a late 17th century and 18th century building, although its core likely dates back to the 16th century. It has an L-shaped plan. The facade facing the road is made of brick, featuring two windows on the left, one on each floor, and a gabled bay on the right. The northwest entrance facade has three irregular gabled bays, showcasing exposed timber framing with colour-washed brick infill and an old tile roof. The windows are irregular casements from various periods, accompanied by plain doors.
On the rear facades, the left side has a taller, two-storey section made of colour-washed brick with tile hanging on one return. The ground floor includes two modern casement windows, while the first floor features a moulded brick band, a two-light casement window, and an original mullioned and transomed casement. The eaves cornice is elaborately moulded and bracketted. The right side has a lower section with a simple door and segment-headed casements.
