Description

Two Chimneys is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of greensand rubble and faced with Flemish bond brickwork, topped with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and a cellar, with three bays. The central entrance features a four-panelled door that is half glazed, topped with a moulded brick dentilled triangular pediment that is reset on brick brackets. The ground floor has three-light timber windows with wide segmental brick arches, and there is a plat band. The upper floor contains two-light timber casement windows. The house has gable stacks. To the right, there is a two-storey early 20th-century extension that is not of special interest.
