Description

The barn at West Chisenbury Farm is a Grade II listed timber-framed structure dating from the early 18th century. It is weatherboarded and features a thatched roof. The barn has a nave with aisles and a south midstrey at the center bay, consisting of five bays in total. It is supported by heavy posts with straight braces to the tie and queen struts to the collar truss, with the principals reduced above the upper clasped purlins. The plates are face-halved, individually tenoned, and pegged. There are long windbraces in the second bay from both ends.
