Description
Fir Tree Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, located in Enford East, near Chisenbury. The walls are of clunch, a local limestone, banded with flint to the front, with brick dressings. The roof is thatched and hipped, sweeping down over three dormers and over a timber shed at the left end. Originally a two-bay building, it was extended to the left to incorporate a former single-storey outbuilding. A boarded door with a thatched canopy is positioned between the original two bays. Timber casement windows are set back within segmental arched recesses. A stack is located in the right gable. A small 20th-century extension is present at the rear.
