Description

Blatch and two associated monuments are located in the graveyard of the former church of Winterbourne Dauntsey. These three chest tombs date from the early 19th century and are enclosed by a cast iron railing. The tombs are made of limestone. The northernmost tomb (a) features a slightly hipped table and a chamfered base, with a flush bead moulded inscription dedicated to Elizabeth Blatch, who died in 1802. The central tomb (b) is similar in design, but its inscription is not visible. The southern tomb (c) is a low chest with a chamfered table, but it is unidentified.
