Description
Box Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It features a rendered cob and timber-framed upper floor, with the gable faced in flint and a thatched roof. The building is single storey and attic, raised to two storeys, and consists of two bays, with a third bay added to the northeast. The entrance is located between the first and second bays and is enclosed in a temporary glazed lean-to. The cottage has paned timber casement windows, some of which are leaded. The roof is half-hipped, with thatch swept over two flush dormers at the rear. There is an original gable stack situated between the second and third bays, along with an added stack at the rear of the left bay.
