Description
Sunnyside is a cottage dating from the early to mid-18th century, constructed of cob with a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic and consists of two main bays. The layout includes a living room with an entrance positioned against the gable stack, and an inner room featuring a lateral stair. A narrow third bay was added in the late 19th to early 20th century beyond the stack. There is a small 20th-century lean-to porch with a pair of boarded doors. The windows are timber casements, and the thatch extends over one flush dormer on each side. A flat-roofed bathroom extension from the 20th century is located on the south front. Inside, the cottage has a central spine beam covered in matchboarding, and the stack was altered in the 19th century. There is also a 19th-century cast iron fireplace in the added bay.
