Description

Baynards Ash Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1810-20. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with a roughcast finish to the front facade, and has a stone slate roof with three hipped dormers and gable stacks. The building is two storeys and an attic, with a cellar. The original main block is three bays wide, designed with a hall and flanking reception rooms, and a staircase. A one-bay wing runs parallel to the road, and has been extended by a further bay beyond a stack. Gable stacks are present. A lean-to section exists on the main block, containing an oven. Mid-20th century doors and windows are found on all elevations.
