Description
Manor Farmhouse dates to around 1860. It is constructed of Flemish brick with raised stone quoins and dressings. The original building is two storeys and attic, with three bays arranged around a central through hall leading to a rear stairwell. A two-bay extension was added in the later 19th century to the right. The main entrance is within a two-storey porch featuring a six-panelled door set within a chamfered flush ashlar limestone surround and a label mould above. Four-pane plate glass sashes are found within flush chamfered stone surrounds and label hoods. The building has heavy stone dentilled eaves and a parapet with large vases on angle blocks. Two stone quoined stacks are present. The extension has stone wedge lintels above sixteen-pane sashes, which retain crown glass. The rear drawing room contains a stone Gothic fireplace, while both the drawing room and the front reception room have papier-maché vine-scroll cornices. The stairwell and some upper rooms feature slightly coved ceilings.
