Description
Garden Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the late 17th century and 18th century. The building is constructed from rubble stone and features a thatched roof with brick stacks. It has a gable end facing the road and is a single storey with an attic, containing two windows. The entrance is a planked door located to the left of the center, which is sheltered by a tiled gabled porch. To the right of the door, there is a 3-light cyma-mullioned casement window and a 2-light flush mullioned casement window. An added bay to the left has a blocked doorway. The attic includes two 2-light casements.
On the right side of the building, there is a 20th-century lean-to extension. The left side features a 3-light casement on the ground floor and a 2-light casement on the first floor. The rear of the cottage has two 2-light casements and another 20th-century lean-to extension to the left. Inside, there is a blocked open fireplace and chamfered beams.
