Description
The former gate piers to Erlestoke Park, located adjacent to the churchyard, date from the late 18th century and are made of Coade stone, with repairs carried out around 1944 in ashlar. There are two large piers featuring vermiculated rustication, fluted friezes, moulded cornices, and heavy square caps that support urns. The left pier has an ashlar cornice and cap, while the right pier has an ashlar frieze, cornice, cap, and most of its urn. The repairs in 1944 were completed by Italian prisoners of war.
