Description

Brook Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is timber-framed and mostly fronted in painted brick, with early 20th century applied half-timbering. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring a ridge stack. The building has two storeys and a three-window range of casement pairs, with a central door set in a gabled rustic porch. The front elevation is clad in 20th century decorative timbering, while the west side is finished in painted brick. The east side reveals the original timber framing, which includes angle braces.
