Description

28 The Close is a late 19th-century building constructed on early foundations. It features three storeys with a gabled front made of red brick. The upper floor overhangs, and the second floor in the gable is tile hung. The roof has a steep pitch and is tiled. On the second floor, there is a four-light leaded casement window. The first floor has a curved tiled bay with seven transomed and mullioned lights, topped with a moulded cornice and supported on brackets. There is a similar bay window on the ground floor, alongside a five-panel door with a side light to the left and two leaded lights above. All the listed buildings in The Close create an outstanding group.
