Description
30 The Close is a mid-19th century three-storey building made of red brick, featuring a plinth. It has a gable end tiled roof with two hipped dormers and flat eaves. The front elevation is symmetrical, with three windows. The second floor has recessed sashes, and the centre window on the first floor also has no glazing bars. The outer first-floor windows are canted bay windows with sash lights, deep panelled aprons, and moulded cornices. The ground floor features recessed sashes. The central door consists of four fielded panels and has a plain semi-circular fanlight above it, with a rubbed brick arch over the door. All the listed buildings in The Close form an outstanding group.
