Description

37 The Close is a building from the 17th century or earlier, featuring a stucco front that dates back to the 18th century. It has two storeys, a plain parapet, and an old tiled roof. The façade includes two windows with 19th-century sashes that do not have glazing bars. To the left, there is a six-panel door framed by pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. On the right side, a narrow two-storey wing projects towards the pavement, which has a 19th-century canted bay window on the first floor, also with sash lights and no glazing bars. The listed buildings in The Close create an impressive group.
