Description

27 The Close is a mid-18th century building that stands two stories tall and is constructed of colourwashed brick. It features a gable end roof covered with old tiles. To the left of the front, there are superimposed canted bay windows, along with two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, all of which are flush framed sashes with intact glazing bars. The central door consists of six fielded panels and is topped with a flat stone hood supported by cut stone brackets. This building is part of an outstanding group of listed buildings in The Close.
