Description
Lower Hook Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is built of rubble stone and has a roof covered with concrete slates, featuring two hipped dormers. The building is two stories high with an attic and consists of four bays with a lobby entry. Inside, there are two reception rooms to the right of the entrance, one to the left, and a rear stair projection. The central stack has diagonal flues. The entrance includes a five-panel door, with the upper panel being glazed, set within a fluted doorcase and entablature. The windows are 19th-century timber casements, and the interior features chamfered beams.
