Description
The Grove is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of stucco with a slate roof. It is two stories high and has three bays, featuring a double pile plan with a stone hipped rear wing on the left and a one-story brick extension towards the road on the right. The entrance includes a glazed door with a radial fanlight, set within a fluted Tuscan portico. The house has 12-pane sash windows with concealed boxes and irregular fenestration at the rear. The eaves are moulded and boxed, and the roof is hipped, with two brick stacks at the rear. The gable end of the right extension extends down as a wall leading to a pier with stone copings, and the gatepiers also feature gabled caps.
