Description
The White House is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of stucco with a slate roof. It features a symmetrical front on the south side, consisting of two storeys and four windows, topped by a hipped roof. The walls are adorned with chamfered quoins, a first-floor band, moulded architraves, and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with the two central windows being French doors that open onto a stone-flagged verandah. This verandah is supported by a cast-iron trellis framework and has a concave hipped lead roof. At the west end of the main block, there is a simple Tuscan porch with shallow mouldings, which is now flanked by outshots. Additionally, there is a lower T-shaped rear service wing that is two storeys high, featuring regular openings; the upper walls are rendered while the lower part is constructed of brickwork with flint panels.
