Description
Little Thatch and Thackery Cottage is a pair of cottages built around 1900. They are constructed from brick and thatch and feature a slightly exaggerated vernacular style. The front, which faces south, is nearly symmetrical and has one storey plus an attic, with two windows on the ground floor and one in the attic. The roof has a large overhang, eyebrow dormers, and a hipped section above the projecting centerpiece. There is also a canopy above the bay and doorway of Little Thatch, which is located on the west side. The cottages are primarily made of red brick, with some areas of flint panelling. They have casement windows, and there is a rectangular bay on the west side. The former doorway to Thackery has been converted into a window, while Little Thatch features a half-glazed door in a plain opening. The boarded door to Thackery is now part of an outshot that is set back at the east end. The cottages have 'Tudor' stacks with diagonal flues on rectangular bases.
