Description

Glenbuck Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. Originally a range of three, it now comprises two units, with an addition of 1813 that served as a shop connected to a third dwelling and a rear extension (now part of the second unit). The front elevation is long, with one storey and an attic, featuring six windows above seven. It has a ½-hipped roof with eaves raised above the upper windows. The walls are built of red brick in Flemish bond, with cambered ground-floor openings. Casement windows are present. There are two plain doorways with boarded doors, each sheltered by a thatched hood. The rear walls incorporate flintwork, and the middle section of the building is likely of earlier origin.
