Description
Avills Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse constructed of rubble stone, featuring a stone-tiled roof at the front and Bridgwater tiles at the rear. It has a corniced stack at the east end and flush quoins at the south-west corner. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. The windows are recessed ovolo-moulded mullions with hoodmoulds. On the left side, there is a three-light window above a two-light window and a six-panel door set in a flush moulded surround, complete with a hood supported by brackets. The right side has a two-window range of three-light windows, which include some small paned windows with sash opening lights. At the rear, there is a central chimney gable with a wing extending beyond it, along with additional rear wings on both the left and right sides.
