Description
Corton Manor is a house from the earlier 18th century that was restored in the 20th century. It is built of red brick with a slate roof and features end stacks. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range. There are three dormers: the center one has a segment-headed shape with a square 12-pane window, while the outer dormers are pedimented and contain pairs of casement windows, all of which have been restored or rebuilt. The main front has a rubble plinth and exposed-box 12-pane sash windows with gauged brick heads. It also features a renewed painted timber modillion cornice and a central door set in a 20th-century white painted surround, which includes fluted pilasters and an entablature. To the right, there is a 19th-century red brick two-storey structure with a two-window range that is attached to the main building. Additionally, there is a north-west rear wing connected to the main range.
