Description

This milestone, located 1 mile east of Chirton Crossroads, dates from around the 1760s. It is made of fossiliferous limestone and has a square shape with a slightly rounded top. There is no visible inscription on the milestone. On the east side, there is a bench mark, and a bolt for a plate is set into the rear face.
