Description

This milestone, dating to the 18th century or early 19th century, is located approximately 60 meters northeast of Arrington Nurseries, on the west side of the A1198 (Ermine Street) and south of the village of Arrington.

The milestone is made of limestone and has a rectangular shape, standing about 33 centimeters high. It features stop-chamfered edges and a bull-nosed top. The stone is inscribed with black painted lettering that reads: ARRINGTON/ LONDON/ 44/ ROYSTON/ 6/ CAXTON/ 6.
