Pair of cottages. Late C17, extended at west end C18. Renovated. Timber framed, rendered and half hipped long straw thatch roof. Two gault brick ridge stacks. End to road. One storey and attic. Five dormers, including two with thatched gables and three with tiled surrounds. Six modern ground floor casements and two doorways in porches. The extension of late C18 to the west is also timber framed, rendered and long straw thatch. One storey and attic. Modern fenestration. Slender framing. Interior: No 59 has plan of three bays. Red brick inglenook and stop chamfered main beam. Substantial wall framing with downward bracing. Jowled heads to posts. A smaller red brick hearth in No 59 dates from the subdivision.
