Neston Post Office

Neston Post Office is a row of cottages dating from the 17th century, constructed of rubble stone with stone tiled roofs, featuring coped gables, end wall stacks, and two ridge stacks. The buildings are one and a half storeys high and have five dormer gables on the front. The windows are recessed with chamfered mullions and hoodmoulds.

The cottages include 19th-century gabled ashlar porches with shallow arched doorways and inner four-panel doors. Number 1 appears to be a later addition, featuring a three-light upper window, a two-light window below, and a porch to the right. The end wall windows are similar. There is a rear wing with an end wall stack and a dormer gable on the north side, which has a recessed cyma-moulded two-light window above the door.

Number 3 is double fronted, with three-light windows in the dormer gables, a three-light window, a porch, and a two-light window on the ground floor. Number 5 has a porch to the left and two-light windows on each floor, with the lower window being a 18th-century flush cyma-moulded design. Number 7 also has a porch to the left and two-light windows on each floor.

To the right, the Post Office is a 19th-century single-storey stone-tiled addition, featuring a door and two two-light windows, along with a small end addition that has a single light and a lean-to hipped roof.
